Cabanyal Walk-Up Apartment

This new Stepping Stone Rental can be found in the always in-demand area of El Cabanyal just a few hundred metres from the beach and on one of the best streets and locations in the area, the first part of Calle Barraca. The property is in an older building and is a third floor walkup. It has been recently modernised throughout and offers two bedrooms, a bathroom with shower unit, kitchen and a large living room with dining area and access to a small balcony overlooking the palm tree lined road. The building itself is not modernised and the entrance leaves a little to be desired with difficulty in taking your bike upstairs but it is a decent community and most people in the building actually live there.

The Cabanyal is described as Valencia's beachside bohemian heart these days. It has plenty of trendy cafes, bars and restaurants, an excellent daily food market, plenty of supermarkets and access both to Valencia's start up hub La Lanzadera in the Marina and also Las Arenas beach. There is a younger feel to the area now as prices were cheaper here over the previous decade than other areas of the city. The beach and Marina have attracted young families and the excellent communications into the city by metro, bus and bike lanes have made it a hotspot for young professionals and families.

European funds allied to local and regional money have improved the area massively and continue to facelift the more rundown parts. The northern part of the Cabanyal is right near to the University and Polytechnic meaning there is a good student population too especially considering that Valencia is the number one destination for the Erasmus programme in Europe.

The property has plenty of cafes and bars within a stone's throw. The nearest supermarket is around 200m away and the market around 300m. The nearest bus stop is 50m from your front door and the metro is just 200m away. There is a good selection of restaurants within 500m and the beach and Marina are just 500m away.

Valencia Beach Area

We have to distinguish the beach area of Valencia from the city centre itself. For our purposes we are calling the beach area not only the Cabanyal and Malvarrosa but also Nazaret near the Port, El Grau near the Marina, Alboraya beach, the Patacona, and Port Saplaya, also belonging to Alboraya. Valencia beach is a 4km long wide expanse of sand fronted by a palm fringed Promenade that you can walk from one end to the other, starting by the Marina in the Cabanyal and finishing at the end of the Patacona in Alboraya, without leaving the beach area. There are plenty of areas set aside for water sports, beach games such as football and volleyball and in the summer beach bars are set up so that clients can enjoy snacks and drinks without leaving the beach. Valencia beach never gets full as it is huge and the quality of the water is excellent for a city beach.
